As if bungee jumping wasn't frightening enough, now there is The Abyss - the only commercial indoor bungee jump in the world, housed in a former steelworks. You're in semi-darkness with music pumping out of a wall of speakers, dry ice filling the air and seven huge projection screens showing your fellow jumpers in action. That's right - bungee jumping has gone rock'n'roll. Your experience begins when you climb 143 steps up the Face of Steel to the 150 foot jump zone. You'll be helped into the bungee harness (with thorough safety checks) and you're ready to go. After a few words of encouragement, and a few very deep breaths, it's 1... 2... 3... bungee! You'll plummet towards the ground before the bungee rope reaches its return point and you ping back towards the rafters. After a few more bounces, you'll be lowered back to terra firma. All equipment and club membership are included, and you can buy a video of your jump on the day.

A trip to Diggerland guarantees a fun filled, exciting and action packed day out for kids and adults of all ages. Children (and adults if they wish) have the opportunity to ride in and drive different types of construction machinery including Dumper Trucks, Mini Diggers and Giant Diggers (all under strict supervision). This is great way to try out acting and learn all about the theatre at one of the most successful shows in the world. First of all, before the day, you'll be sent a synopsis of the show on CD (read by Sir Ian McKellan) so that you're familiar with the story. The big day starts off with a fantastic three-hour kids' workshop. This includes a backstage tour of the theatre and a drama workshop based on improvisational games that will bring out your inner star. The workshop ends which a re-enactment of a scene from the show, using real costumes and props, plus a chance to quiz a real member of the Les Mis cast and a certificate to take home. A packed lunch with a sandwich, crisps, apple and juice is included (sorry but special dietary needs can't be catered for, so bring your own lunch if you prefer). Then in the afternoon, you'll watch a matinee performance of the hit musical.

Covering everything from the flying trapeze, juggling, acrobatic balancing and static trapeze* in a supportive and carefully controlled environment. Suitable for anyone over 14. Got a head for heights and nerves of steel? Challenge yourself with a whole day of climbing at the National Ice Climbing Centre - the UK's top indoor rock and ice climbing facility. Even if you're a complete stranger to crampons, this is the place to learn the ropes (pun intended). After being kitted out with climbing equipment (all included) you'll start off with your feet still firmly on the ground during a full briefing on safety and basic climbing techniques. Then put theory into practice with an hour and a half rock climbing session, scaling the indoor wall with expert instruction. After lunch (not included) at the on-site cafe, you'll tackle the ice wall. Using a top-roped belay safety system, you'll climb the 50ft wall of ice, neve (frozen snow) and a variety of precarious angles to give you an exhilarating (and occasionally terrifying) introduction to the sport. You'll be amazed at what you can achieve! At the end of the day you'll receive a photo and certificate to take home.
