Horse riding is a perfect way to spend some quality time together as a family - it's relaxing, exciting, refreshingly outdoorsy and a brilliant way to introduce the kids to a new hobby. Parents can even get involved. Novices and experienced riders alike will love this riding day. After being introduced to their ponies the instructor will teach the youngsters how to tack up before heading out for a half hour lesson within the grounds and an assessment of their abilities in order to best plan a follow up activity. Then the adults get their chance by leading their children on a hack (including walk and trot) in countryside or woodland (cantering is not permitted outside the arenas during initial visits). The children have an hour and a half riding time, followed by soup and sandwiches for all of you - riding can be pretty physical and there's nothing like fresh air to make people hungry! At the end everyone has the opportunity to groom a horse and maybe give it a treat to say thank you!

Enjoy life on the ocean wave with an introduction to three fun-packed watersports activities. First up it's dinghy sailing and the chance to helm your own boat. With expert instruction you will be off in a matter of minutes and whether you plan to glide across the water or crash through ocean swells, you'll have great fun in these little boats. If you managed not to capsize in those, then move on to getting wet! After a quick lesson on the dry land simulator, go out on the windsurfers, combining style with speed as you race across the water (or combining chaos with flailing limbs as you fall in ungracefully!). After lunch move onto the kayaks. These are great fun and you'll be powering across the water in no time at all.

Most of us live in nice, safe houses, work in nice, safe offices, and our biggest adrenaline rush of the day comes from jumping onto the train just as the doors are closing. So rediscover your sense of adventure amid spectacular scenery with this amazing coasteering experience. You'll climb rocks, jump off cliffs, swim in the sea and do plenty of scrambling about. After a full safety briefing and getting kitted out, you'll set off in a small team with your instructor to traverse along the bottom of the cliffs, figuring out the best route together and trying to dodge the waves. Where you can, you'll climb along the rocks, but when the going's too steep it's time to jump in and swim! You can buy a packed lunch to take along, or bring your own. After lunch, just in case you haven't had enough of the great outdoors, it's time to try either kayaking, surfing or climbing/abseiling. You might get a few bumps along the way, but this is an inspiring, challenging and thrilling day.

Ahoy there me hearties! Splice the main brace, shiver me timbers and other such nautical nonsense... there'll be none of that on this experience, which offers an introduction to sailing in a friendly and informal atmosphere. It's great fun - exhilarating and relaxing at the same time, and the best way to experience the beauty and freedom of the open sea. After coffee, biscuits and a safety briefing, your Yachtmaster skipper will introduce you to the basics of sailing and in no time at all you'll be out at sea, either on the Brighton or Southampton Water. If you're feeling energetic you can put theory into practice and take an active part in the afternoon's sailing, but if you'd rather you can just sit back in the cockpit and let the crew do the hard work while you relax and enjoy an afternoon at sea. You'll also have afternoon tea on board. All in all a very civilised approach to a wonderful pastime.
